The problem

The App Store isn't worth the fight.

You've heard the pitch: "Build a native app for $15K, wait 3 months for review, pay Apple 30% on in-app purchases." Meanwhile DoorDash is already on their phone. There's a better way — and it's been sitting in every smartphone browser for years.

How OrdersUp handles it

Turn it on. Walk away.

Installs from your website

Guest hits your ordering page on their phone. A prompt asks: "Add to home screen?" Yes. Done. Your icon is on their phone. No App Store, no developer account, no 30% cut.

Push notifications that convert

Slow Tuesday? Fire a push to your regulars: "Free chips with any $20 order until 8pm." Order-ready alerts, delivery updates, loyalty milestones — all through the same channel.

One-tap reorder

The last order is on the home screen. Two taps and it's fired again. Guests who install order 3x more often than guests who use mobile web only.

Menu, hours, 86-list always current

Same feed as your website and delivery apps. You update once. Every guest sees the change on their next open.

Straight answers

Common questions.

Is this a real app or a website?

Technically a PWA — Progressive Web App. Functionally, guests can't tell the difference: icon on the home screen, opens fullscreen, sends push notifications. And you skip the App Store nonsense.

Do guests need to install it to order?

No. Your ordering page works fine in any browser. The install prompt is optional — guests who accept it order more often, but nobody's forced.

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes. iOS 16+ supports push notifications from installed PWAs. Older iPhones still get the home-screen icon and offline menu; just no push.

Can we push "buy one get one" alerts?

Absolutely. That's the highest-ROI use. Best practice: 1–2 pushes per week max, or guests uninstall. We'll help pace it.
